Diplomatic Academy Gavro Vuković was founded in 2003, as a joint project of the Law School of University of Montenegro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro. It was organized as a specialist course within the postgraduate studies program of the Law School and the School of Political Science in Podgorica.
It was named after Gavro Vuković, one of the persons who made greatest contribution to the history of Montenegrin diplomacy. Having been a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the internationally recognized principality of Montenegro, he laid the groundwork of Montenegrin diplomacy of the time.
Mission of the Academy is to prepare new diplomatic elite of Montenegro. At the Academy, knowledge is acquired by generations of those individuals who will be able to understand the modern world, and know how to meet its requirements.
